Entries are now being accepted for Advanced Textiles Association’s (ATA) revamped 2024 International Achievement Awards (IAA) competition. These awards return for the 77th year of recognizing the best projects across the specialty fabrics industry. The industry is constantly changing, and the 2024 IAA program is changing with it.
Some categories have been removed, added or modified. Highlights include:
NEW: Awning and Canopies
- HDPE Shade Structures and Sails
- PVC/Vinyl Freestanding Structures and Sails
- Permanent Umbrellas
NEW: Advanced Textiles
- Military
- Innovative Design
NEW: Geosynthetic Projects
- Agricultural
- Energy
- Mining
- Site Development
Other changes include revised submission questions to make it easier to describe projects, a new award that will recognize Canadian members and entrants through a “Best of Canada Award” selected from all Canadian company projects, and an enhanced digital winner package that includes:
- Award logo
- Award statuette image
- Certificate (upon request)
- Feature on the website
- Opportunity to be featured in an ATA magazine
Sponsored by IFAI (now ATA) since 1946, the IAAs are an excellent opportunity for both ATA members and nonmembers to display work, gain professional recognition and stand out on an international level. Entries are judged by industry experts and design professionals who are individually selected for their expertise in a particular field of study or product area. The deadline for entries is May 16.
