8 am – 12:30 pm: Marine Fabricator Management Training – PRE-WORKSHOP CLASS
Clint Adkins, Continuous Improvement Manager, Patrick Marine Fabrication
Come in early to attend this business class developed for shop owners/management. This is an add-on class requiring prior to the Regional Workshop. Includes lunch.

Topics include:

  • Continuous Improvement/ Lean Essentials

How to design and follow a systematic process for your whole team resulting in a business culture of results that is sustainable.

  • 5S Training

Organize and manage the workspace to optimize the process flow with the intent of improving efficiency by eliminating waste, improving layout and streamlining communication.
*This class requires an additional registration.

1 pm: REGIONAL WORKSHOP BEGINS

1 – 2:30 pm: Shop tour – Regional Workshop Begins
This is your chance to explore the impressive home of Great Lakes Boat Tops. Attendees will break into 3 groups and visit the following stations.

  • Engineering Table
  • Customer Service
  • Engineering CAD

2:30 – 2:45 pm: Break

2:45 – 4 pm: Bows and Bimini
Attendees will break into groups and for education on the following topics.

  • Bow Bending
  • Pattering a Bimini

4-5:30 pm: Meet & Greet / Tabletop Exhibits
Get social! Grow your network and meet the exhibitors.

8 – 9 am: Breakfast and Exhibitor Giveaways
Start your morning with a continental breakfast with friends and a shot at some fabulous prizes.

9 – 9:30 am: Gauges, Sewing and Binding
Learn new ways to put finishing touches on cutouts, zippers, and other tips to make your projects stand out.

9:30 – 11:30 am: Demonstrating Gauges and Techniques
Attendees will break into groups and for education at the following stations:

  • Cutting
  • Mooring Cover Line
  • Kit Building

11:30 am – 12:30 pm: Lunch & Tabletop Exhibits

12:30 – 1:30 pm: EVA Foam Flooring
Examine the techniques of patterning and prepping a boat for EVA flooring.

1:30 – 2:30 pm: Boat Support Systems
Explore the various types of support systems including strap supports, t-poles and more.

2:30 – 2:45 pm: Break

2:45 – 4 pm: Recap / Questions
