Tools, Tips and Tricks
There are things you do in your shop to save time, money or do a job in a unique way. Even the simplest solutions are a great help to other shops. And we mean simple! One year the winner submitted their zipper storage, it was a plastic bin with a hole cut out of the lid so they could easily pull out the zipper and cut to size. SIMPLE but BRILLIANT! They won a roll of fabric for sharing that nugget of gold, and you can too! Maybe you use a tool or piece of equipment for something completely outside of what the packaging says, maybe you built your own tool and it works better than anything else you have found or maybe you know a trick that just gets the job done better. You can submit that online either in text with photos or a short video (under a minute please). The rules on anonymity have been lifted for 2024. No need to hide who you are or your company logo. NEW for 2024 – All submitters who are at the Marine Fabricators Conference 2024 during the Tools, Tips and Tricks session (January 27, 2024) have the option to present their submission live and answer audience questions. As always, the audience will vote for their favorite! The top three winners receive great prizes. Qualified entries also appear in Marine Fabricator magazine.
